The Vistula is the longest and largest river in Poland, which rises in Silesia near Wisla and flows into the Baltic Sea after approx. 1,047 km near Gdansk.
The two largest cities in Warsaw and Krakow are located on the Vistula.
In addition, the Vistula flows into the Baltic Sea at Gdansk, another large city in Poland.
The source is near Wisla, which also means Vistula.

History
The Vistula has a long history, which we summarize only briefly. Like many other rivers, the Vistula has always represented a natural boundary that has been fought for many times in history.

Velo Europe on the Vistula River

There are already some stretches where there is a signposted cycle path along the changes.
The planning of the Vistula route should be done carefully, as there are some sections where we pass through unpopulated areas and there are no railways or stations nearby.
