Dear cyclist
the events of the last 12 months were not taken into account when we started this project in 2017. The Covid-Virus has changed the world and we all wonder whether it will ever be the same again. Even in these difficult times, there are winners versus many losers- sure is that we re-consider our „values“.
For the sake of the environment , because a bike trip or bike tour along the rivers, through the european history is something very special, that's why I started this project together with Frank.
Together we have already cycled thru many European countries plus metropolitan areas and experienced incredible and emotional moments. Reach daily goals, alone or more enojoyable in the group . History, culture and exercise in one trip and moreover contemporary "environmentally conscious". Positive for our project - the technical development of the (E)Bikes increases the movement radius and moreover invites differently strong and old groups to a common journey.
My vision for Velo Europe and our project is that we will find many like-minded cyclists who will follow us, and who will then help us to spin such a large, dense cycling network in a hub system across historic Europe.
Here especially the local knowledge of cyclists is needed, who give us tips and suggestions in their region, in order to pass through a metropolitan region "car-free". Tips and suggestions, where we find great destinations and a stop is worthwhile.
Last but not least, we hope to have numerous partners offering us their services along the routes, which we will allow to appear on demand in the service area on our app / navigation.
