Stage Can be treated as a section of a trip (“Route”). Stage simply connects two destinations in a reasonable short distance, that one can cycle within a day. This is a “core” element for our VELO system as it is used for building “Routes” (see below), and allows you to create your own custom journey based on our proven bike paths. If you wonder how to craft your own journey jump to the section: “Creating your own route”. Route Is a trip that you can find in our system. It very often goes from one city to another or along a river. It usually consists of several stages and each of them should be briefly described, to help you get a feeling of what you can expect. It’s like a journey that you want to cycle within several days. If you wonder how to look for your route jump to the next section of the FAQ: “Using Predefined Routes”
In order to make your route more attractive, safe and cycling-friendly we’ve decided to add special points that we call “Point of Interest” and “Partners”. Those points should help to:
- - spot beautiful places on your route
- - get help in case of any accident,
- - find hotel or restaurant,
- - reach out service in case of having a flat tyre.
- - Customising your predefined Routes
- - an app: Journey: Filtering point of interest and partners
