The Rupel is a Belgian river, created by the confluence of the Nete and Dijle rivers at Rumst and flows into the Scheldt after 12 km at Rupelmonde.
Nete and Dijle are also created by the confluence of other tributaries.

The Rupel is navigable and the tides of the North Sea can be felt as far as the Rupel.

On the stages to and from Brussels we meet the Rupel.
