The Oder is an 866 km long river that flows through Poland in the Czech Republic and flows into the Szczecin Lagoon near Szczecin.
The source of the Oder lies in the Czech Republic in the Moravian Oder Mountains.
The Oder is the border river between Germany and Poland, as a result of the 2nd World War.
The Lusatian Neisse and the Warta are the largest tributaries of the Oder.
There are 5 big cities at the Oder with Ostrava, Opole, Breslau, Zielona Gora and Stettin.

Cycling on the Oder

There is a signposted Oder cycle path along the Oder, even if it is a few metres or even km away from the Oder in many areas.

The railway line runs parallel to the Oder from Breslau via Zielona Gora to Lüben and further in the direction of Szczecin.
The distances between the cities and stations are sometimes a little longer, so the stages should be checked in detail by every cyclist.
