Koblenz is a city in Rhineland-Palatinate at the so-called German corner. In Koblenz, the Moselle flows from the west as a left tributary into the Rhine ( Deutsches Eck).
In the east of Koblenz lie the foothills of the Westerwald, the foothills of the Hunsrück in the south. From Koblenz to the south begins the section Middle Rhine.

History 
Koblenz celebrates its 2000th anniversary as early as 1992, making it one of the oldest cities in Germany. Original name : Confluentes - some parts of Koblenz are UNESCO world cultural heritage.
In Koblenz live today about 113,000 inhabitants.
